YOUR ROLE

  • Regularly influence and contribute to strategy and tactical planning and support proliferation of break-through technologies
  • Collaborate and develop roadmap with global customer design centers and industry experts
  • Meet with key global customers at their facilities to translate/identify new opportunities
  • Be the recognized expert in industry trade associations, develop new to the world data/white papers to promote Henkel expertise externally
  • Establishe and leverage external networks and partnerships (research/suppliers/OEM/boards/industry)
  • Develop and manage key innovation/application development programs
  • Understand latest technologies and impacts to SBU and customers
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking studies to assess ability to win and innovation opportunities
  • Proactively contribute, impact and share best practice at the team, technology, application and product line levels across SBU
  • Lead recomm-s, customer visits, demonstrations, trainings and problem solving for strategic initiatives, break-through tech-gies and KAs
  • Quantify, document and report Henkel solution’s value to customers
  • Have global tech. leadership role in L2 Market Teams, recognized as market applications expert and as consulting resource to Market Segment
  • Be responsible for the technical training of field sales forces and customers and for TCS talent development
  • Conduct manufacturing excellence surveys to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities

YOUR SKILLS

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or comparable education
  • Ideally around 3 years of relevant experience in working in chemistry laboratories
  • Knowledge of measurement methods for the characterization of rheological and mechanical material properties
  • Experience in setting up, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment for material analysis and application
  • Knowledge of data processing, evaluation of experiments, and documentation of test results, software
  • knowledge (e.g.: Python, LabView, CAD programs) is advantageous 
  • Analytical thinking and self-reliant working methods
  • Fluent English language skills
